Our Operator's Story
Originally from Savannah, John came to Atlanta to follow his dad's footsteps to become an engineer. John had worked at Chick-fil-A
through high school and continued through college receiving the S. Truett Cathy Scholarship. Upon graduation, he realized that he
could have the greatest impact on people's lives as an Operator, so he chose it as his career and mission.

Opening in January of 1997, Chick-fil-A was still just a few years into development of its "free-standing" restaurants. Howell Mill Road was a big part in the development of drive through operations with the first "iPOS transaction" taking place there. This restaurant also helped lead the way with catering innovation to best serve the Midtown community.

Opening December 2015, Operator John Diamond was able to achieve his vision to better serve the Midtown, West Midtown, and Georgia Tech communities with a
conveniently located restaurant on Northside Drive. Our West Midtown location has been a cornerstone in the redevelopment of the area, including proud partners like Atlanta Mission, City of Refuge, Midtown Highschool and more!

The Chick-fil-A in the John Lewis Student Center was Chick-fil-A’s FIRST licensed location opening in 1991. In fact, our operator, John Diamond, worked at the grand opening of that licensed location as a team member; so when the opportunity presented itself for John to operate the location on Georgia Tech’s campus, he was delighted to do

In fact, our operator, John Diamond, worked at the grand opening of that licensed location as a team member; so when the opportunity presented itself for John to operate the location on Georgia Tech’s campus, he was delighted to do so. Chick-fil-A Georgia Tech became John's third store in July of 2022.
